Cate is the author and creator of 'She Connects' programs and has had many years working on her own heart, health, profession and home; assessing, advising and training others.

​

The Heart 2 Hope team works in collaboration with the women who have shared their short stories or are a part of our specialised support or referral program.

Heart & Health

Our story around the many programs written or facilitated within the personal Heart 2 Hope vision has been wonderful. ‘She Connects’ is our signature program run in Fiji in 2018 as a retreat.  Cate and her husband started their own personal self-esteem and personal development group participant experience in 1994, after several cancer and chemotherapy journey's for Cate. After the process, Cate was asked to train as a facilitator. 

​

During 2005, their facilitator trainers evolved; overseeing 5 groups per week and 10 facilitators. Many lives were transformed and connections made between participants. The Men's group was a first-ever for the community organisation and extremely beneficial. A very inspirational and empowering process for all. From their own journey, Cate and Rob are passionate about connecting in teams or groups.

From this positive life-changing experience for themselves, others and with a love for helping in Fiji, the Heart 2 Hope vision evolved.

Personal

Rob and Cate have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren.  Together they have travelled through many things including cancer and immune illnesses.  Cate was both 33 and 35 when she walked through this difficult journey.  The strength and resilience gained during that period has enabled this family to face other unexpected hurdles in later years.  Whoever knows what tomorrow will bring?  Which is why connection and support is so important.

  • Cate is an experienced Project Manager, Author, Trainer, Teacher, Educator, Careers Advisor, Stylist and Recruitment Consultant. She has held strategic positions & written programs for organisations such as:

  • Sydney YWCA, IPC Employment, Australian Business Apprenticeship Centre, Youth Connections, St Phillips Anglican College, Breakthru People Solutions & Blake Education...
